Thousands of beagles were being bred for experiments

Some of the 4,000 beagles rescued from a facility in Virginia are making their way to New England.Officials with the Monadnock Humane Society in Swanzey said they getting some of the pups.Anyone interested in adopting one of them can find applications on the shelter’s website.Other dogs have already arrived at Greater Dog Rescue New England in Massachusetts.The beagles were being bred to go to laboratories for experiments. In May, the U.S. Department of Justice sued the facility for Animal Welfare Act violations.
